Fledge Terms of Service (Draft)
This is a draft document for review only and is not final legal advice or a final production agreement. It should not be used with real users until a proper compliance review is completed.
1) Scope of the service
This app is a budgeting and transaction-viewing tool. It allows a user to record, review, import, and organize their own spending data.
2) No regulated financial advice
This service does not provide licensed financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or investment advice. It is not a licensed financial adviser, broker, or financial services provider.
The app may describe a user's own spending patterns or transaction history, but it does not recommend, advise on, or propose a specific financial product or transaction as regulated financial advice.
3) Read-only account-viewing tool
This service is intended to help users view and organize their own financial information. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified financial adviser or other regulated professional.
Where the app uses AI-assisted features, those features are limited to describing the user's own data, classifying transactions into existing categories, and helping organize information. They are not a substitute for financial guidance or product recommendations.
4) User responsibility
Users remain responsible for:
- the accuracy of their imported or manually entered data
- any decisions they make based on their own account information
- checking any financial or tax decisions with the appropriate qualified professional
5) No guarantee of accuracy
The service is provided on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee that imported or categorized data is complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
6) Data deletion and account closure
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data as described in the privacy policy draft. This service is not intended to be a permanent archive of sensitive financial information beyond what is necessary to operate the app.
7) Draft compliance note
This draft should be treated as a working internal document only. Before any real user launch, it needs a proper compliance review and legal sign-off.
